Mr. Jones received his LL.M in taxation from the graduate program in taxation at New York Law School, where he received the “A” grade in partnership taxation and business succession planning. Mr. Jones has presented at dozens of speaking engagements on taxation and trusts and estates matters. He has recently taught courses to attorneys such as “Basics of Trust Income Taxation” before members of the Brooklyn Bar Association in March 2022, continuing legal education courses concerning “Advanced Tax Issues” and problems concerning “Complex Distributions” of estates and trusts before New York state attorneys in March 2022, and “Post-Mortem Estate Planning” before a national audience of attorneys in November 2021. Mr. Jones has also presented speeches before local community organizations, and the like. For example, in July 2021, he gave a speech entitled “Handling Deceased Affairs Post Covid” before the West Indian American Day Carnival Association. Mr. Jones also co-edited an article entitled “Lost Trusts in New York—The Case for Statutory Litigation” in the year 2014. Mr. Jones has co-presented a speech and conversation entitled “Tax Issues Concerning LLC’s” before the New York City Bar Association Small Law Firms Committee, as well. Mr. Jones is a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association, where he is the co-chair of the Surrogate’s Court Committee.
